1、 Material selection and preliminary preparation
Main structural materials
Using 3mm thick ABS plastic board as the equipment frame substrate, it has excellent cutting performance and smooth surface, suitable for simulating the metallic texture of medical equipment; Transparent acrylic board (thickness 2mm) is used for the perspective window of the scanning ring, with high transparency and easy shaping.
Auxiliary materials include: high-density foam board (base filling), 0.5mm fine wire (scan table track), black matte PVC sheet (control panel keys), white clay (small parts molding).
Detail simulation material
Display screen: 2.5-inch ultra-thin LCD screen module (analog imaging display), covered with 0.1mm transparent PET film to prevent scratches on the surface;
Lighting system: 3V miniature LED strip (inner circle of scanning ring), button battery box (hidden power supply);
Texture materials: blue self-adhesive PVC sticker (equipment side decorative strip), silver metallic texture tape (edge wrapping).

2、 Main structure manufacturing process
Scanning ring forming
Using laser cutting ABS board to create a hexagonal scanning ring frame, with acrylic rings nested within the inner ring. The joints are bonded with ethyl acetate adhesive, and after curing, the entire frame is polished with 400 grit sandpaper to ensure a natural transition of the arc.
The inner groove of the ring is embedded with LED light strips, and the surface of the light strips is covered with frosted acrylic sheets to soften the light and avoid glare, simulating the blue halo effect during CT scanning.
Scanning bed and base
Scanning bed: ABS board is cut into a “concave” shaped bed body, and a thin iron wire track is pasted at the bottom, which cooperates with the base groove to achieve sliding function; The bed surface is covered with black velvet cloth, simulating the texture of a medical mattress.
Base: the foam board is carved into a ladder shape, the surface is covered with white PVC board, the edge is wrapped with silver tape, and the four corners are pasted with anti-skid silicone pads.
Console integration
Display screen bracket: ABS board bent into an “L” shape, with a slot on the top to fix the LCD screen, and a reserved battery box slot on the back;
Control panel: Black PVC sheet laser engraved button texture, handwritten “power”, “scan” and other markings with a white oil-based pen, and blue fluorescent stickers pasted on the edges to simulate backlit buttons.

3、 Surface treatment and color separation coating
Basic processing
After degreasing all ABS components with alcohol, spray gray primer (2 times), dry and lightly polish with 800 grit sandpaper to eliminate orange peel lines; Clean and polish the transparent acrylic board with toothpaste to improve its transparency.
Seam treatment: Fill the gap between the scanning ring and the base with atomic ash, polish it flat, and spray white matte paint (main color) with a coverage rate of over 95%.
Color Separation and Texture
Main color scheme: The device shell is sprayed with RAL9010 pure white matte paint, and a blue PVC decorative strip is pasted on the outside of the scanning ring, with a width of 1.5cm, forming a classic color scheme for medical equipment with white;
Detail coating: Spray silver metallic paint on the edge of the control panel, fill the button grooves with black enamel paint, dry and use a cotton swab dipped in solvent to wipe off excess parts, highlighting the three-dimensional effect of the buttons.
Identification production
The word “SLAB”: Use CAD to design the font, laser engrave blue acrylic letters, and paste them on both sides of the scanning ring;
Display screen content: Print full spine imaging and cardiac imaging CT images (resolution 1.0mm), stick them on the surface of the LCD screen, and simulate real-time scanning images.

4、 Implementation of lighting and interactive effects
Circuit Integration
Scanning ring light: The LED light strip is connected in series and connected to the button battery box. The switch is hidden on the side of the base, and when pressed, the blue light lights up evenly, simulating the scanning start state;
Display screen backlight: The LCD screen module is connected to an independent power supply, and the brightness is adjusted to 60% to avoid strong light reflection affecting observation.
